High table, 2020 - Aqua series
Collaboration with Robert Craig
In purest homage to spinning motion, this sculpture from the ‘Aqua' gallery series twists from the floor ever MC Escher upwards, funneling visual motion into its astral shaped aquarium while opposing Claro Walnut inlays soak in the sculptures center and smolder in deep windswept aquatic orbits.
Top: 69-bookmatched figured Claro Walnut inlay, surrounded with custom Tahoe blue epoxy fade, framed asymmetrically with figured Bubinga.
Base: Double helix figured Maple stair-step base with steel core.
