Coffee table, 2020 - Aqua series
Richly defined in the Aqua gallery series, this coffee table sculpture broods on the muse of Water in Motion. While the base elements spin upwards, beach sculpted by wind and waves, the top resonates with luminous rivulet waves. In the center, gently beating its wings, a water beetle cools in the deep teal aquifer.
Top: Bookmathced, figured Claro Walnut inlay, surrounded by custom Tahoe blue epoxy fade, framed with figured Bubinga.
Base: Spun driftwood mosaic, gathered from Fallen Leaf Lake with solid steel core.
